It wasn’t COVID, but it sucked! 2 people directly behind us coughing for 6+ hours. When we got home, my whole family was sick too. We’re all on the mends now. I’m glad no one got seriously ill. I can only imagine how many other people also got sick because of these sick travelers.
Please stay home if you’re sick! Don’t travel on a plane!
That is all.
Thank you. /rant

I’m pretty sad that my oldest just went back to school for his “first day” of this school year. I feel like our home is missing something right now. I can’t wait to pick him up in a few hours!
I’m not sure why this hasn’t been discussed more, but in my opinion, air travel needs a major, major revamp. If they want to bring business back and increase passenger safety, it’s time to rethink everything.
The Internet is great for solving problems around the house except when its not! Usually because there is no “answer”. Sometimes, there literally is NO answer. Sometimes, there are answers but not the right ones for your situation.
Well, there’s one issue that’s been bugging me for a long time. A loose, wobbly gooseneck (goose neck?) on my American Standard kitchen faucet. When I say loose, it will go up and down, just like in this video. Notice, comments off and NO solution! After searching repeatedly on and off whenever I’d get annoyed using it, I finally decided to do more invasive work and actually remove the darn the faucet entirely and see if I could figure out what’s wrong.
I know someone who has a great family, a great job with many years of service, excellent job reviews and a great group of friends. This person has talents both at work and in his hobbies, but yet doesn’t have confidence. No matter how many awards received, no matter how many accolades won, it just doesn’t matter.

No kidding…my blood sugar yesterday was unusually high all day, and I discovered that stress/anxiety can cause your body to stop producing insulin, which obviously caused blood sugar to increase.
It wasn’t stress that was something I could control. Let’s hope this election is finalized accurately and quickly.
I’ve been dealing with a diagnosis I thought would eventually happen, but just really thought it wouldn’t. It’s one of those until it happens, you just wish it won’t. I “tried” to make lifestyle changes, but it still happened.
My change from pre-diabetic to diabetic happened pretty quickly, over the period of 3 months, my A1c went from the 5.5-6 range to 7.6 and then in the next 3 months to 11.5. It was quick. My doctor started me on insulin. Now I’m on nearly 60 insulin units, my blood sugar is back in a normal range, and seeing an endocrinologist to figure out what happened.
I’ve always wondered about 0% interest and how companies made money on it. Essentially, 0% means you pay no extra on money borrowed.
If you borrow $1,200 and paid it back monthly, you’d pay $100 a money for one year. You could put that $1,200 in a high yield savings account and make some cash for doing nothing. It’s free money. So how does a company make money on these offers?
